He was predeceased by: his wife Genevieve Walker (Jean); his parents, Wilber Douglas Walker, Sr. and Dorothy Latham Walker; and his brother Latham "Pike" Walker. He is survived by: his children, Terri Walker Blackburn (Jim) and W. Douglas Walker, III (Linda); his grandchildren, Holly Walker Bourriague (Jeffrey), Justin Walker and Tegan M. Blackburn; his great grandchildren, Rylen, Addilyn, Anistyn, Viola and Alex Claire; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Blayson and Brynlee; and his siblings, Paul Walker and Barbie Berry. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews.
