It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Milton McCarthy (Baker, Louisiana), born in Denham Springs, Louisiana, who passed away on December 21, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby G. McCarthy, Sr.; her former husband Winsley S. Gunter, Jr.; her parents, Wilson Milton and Pauline Milton; her daughter Janet Gunter; and her siblings, Wilson Milton, Jr., Julia Mae Milton, Barbara Whitehead and June Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Gunter, Sr. (Christine), Steve Gunter (Edna) and Brenda Watts (Larry); her stepchildren, Sandra Jones (Harold), Bobbie Joe Thompson (Larry), Phillip McCarthy and Bobby Gene McCarthy, Jr.; and her sister Judy Tourere (BJ). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, numerous step grandchildren; step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
