With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene Cumpton of Baker, Louisiana, born in Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on December 23, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Cumpton and Margaret Hicks Cumpton; his granddaughter Emma Faith Cumpton; and his sons-in-law, Steve McKnight and Chris Heil.

He is survived by: his wife Faye Faulkner Cumpton; his children, David Cumpton (Gina) and Karen Cumpton McKnight; his stepdaughters, Margaret Faulkner and Keri Heil; his grandchildren, Cara Cumpton, Kristan Rinehart, Taylor Heil, Kelsey Guidry and Max Slezak; and his close friends, Bobby Babin, Terrell and Rhonda Lewis. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
