He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Jenkins Leger; his parents, Alton Leger and Rena Abshire; his son Howard Dirk Leger; his son-in-law Terry Kidder; his brother-in-law Gilbert Gary; and his sister Marjorie Benoit.
He is survived by: his children, Alton Roy Leger (Jane) of Lafayette, Josh Paul Leger of Many, William Leger (Tiffany), Vickie Ann Stelly (Valis) of Arnaudville, Brenda Richard (Tommy) of Sunset, Lilly Renee Leger (Dustin), Mitchelle Angelle (Jason) of Grande Anse and Tina Marie Tribe (Brad) of Arnaudville; his daughter-in-law Deidra Leger of Walker; his brother-in-law Belford Benoit of Lafayette; and his sister Doloris Gary of Lafayette. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren.
