He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Leon Rivette and Zula Lalonde; his son Roland Rivette, Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Leon and Wilda Hardy.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Rivette; his children, Shane J. Rivette of Lafayette, Oscar Troy Rivette of Abu Dhabi, UAE, Melissa Rivette Usie (Randy) of Arnaudville and Amy Rivette Chalala (Patrick) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Christopher, Oscar Alexander Rivette, Lexi Rivette, Ben, Natalie, Lauren, Olivia Usie, Katya and Christian Chalala; and his sister Betty Rivette Angelle (Donald) of Arnaudville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
