She was predeceased by: her husband Francis Nolan Bernard; her children, Ernest Leroy Bernard, Bernell Ray Bernard and Edna Lucy Bernard; her parents, Leroy Percy Ladnier, Sr. and Lucy Dubisson; and her siblings, Charles Ladnier, Jean Waltman and Mary Carolyn.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Paul Bernard (Katrina) of Brock Haven, MS, Cathy Melancon (Marty Robert) of Leonville and Darlene Bernard (Myron Fitch) of Breaux Bridge; and her siblings, Leroy Ladnier (Gloria) of Opelousas, Lionel Ladnier of Bay St, Oneal of Dolishe, MS, Wayne Cuvas of Dolishe, MS, Brenda Morrison of Plant City, FL and June Cuvas of Dolishe, MS. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
