She was predeceased by: her son Chris Douet; her parents, James P. Huval and Edith Darby; and her sister Sophie Knott. She is survived by: her husband John G. Douet of Arnaudville; her children, Randy Douet (Juanita) of Punta Gorda, FL, Cindy D. Trahan (Carl) of Lafayette and Jackie D. Babineaux (Russell) of Cade; her grandchildren, Nicholas Douet, Erik Douet, Melanie Buell (Jake), Kim Senegal (Chris), Amanda Denais-Comeaux, Jessica Babineaux and Jonathon Babineaux; and her sister Suzanne Stelly of Arnaudville. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
