She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. L. Louis McCarthy, Jr.; her parents, Leo Joseph and Eloise DeSoto Manuel; and her siblings, Carl, Winston, Wilfred Manuel, Helen Fitch, Theresa Juneau and Madeline Bettevy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Rodriguez of Boyce, Cheryl Fuller (Ken) of Alexandria, Elizabeth Roper (Jim) of Colorado Springs and Rebecca Fuqua of Gonzales; and her sister Grace Fitch-Patureau of Denham Springs. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
