He was predeceased by: his parents, Renee Zalson and Leon Zalson; his siblings, Cindy Hargroder and Norbert Zalson; his son Blake Zalson; and his father-in-law Butch Coats.

He is survived by: his wife Melinda Zalson; his daughter Briann Owens (Blaine); his daughter-in-law Casey Zalson (Nik); his grandchildren, Jayden Zalson, Ella Owens, Mason Lampkin and JP Bodin; his sister Edith Zalson Cashio Skains (Ron); his mother-in-law Linda Coats Anthony (George); his nephews, David, Jesse Jubin, Trey Coats, Justin Coats and Austin Price; and his brother-in-law Jamie Coats. He is also survived by numerous brothers in law; sisters in law; nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews.
