She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. John B. and Willa A. Heaberlin Rice of Wurtland. She is survived by: her husband Earl Elmo "Moe" Melvin of Wurtland; her children, Ginger Estep (Mike) of Ormond Beach, FL, Penny Kincaid (Roger) of Columbus, OH, Pepper Stinson (Tom) of Maysville, KY and Rev. Steve Melvin (Shawn) of Mayfield, KY; and her siblings, Britta Bridges (Bill) of Mt. Vernon, OH and Paul Rice (Elani) of Cincinnati, OH.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
