He is survived by: his wife Lois Ramsey Adams; his daughter Jean Hammons (Larry) of Williamstown, KY; his brothers, Kenny Bates (Barb) and Wally Bates (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Jill Hubble, Shane Hammons (Ashley) and Robert L. Bates II (Michelle); and his great grandchild Tyler Porter.
