He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Whitaker Sr. and Auda Singelton; and his sisters, Kathleen Whitaker, Lola Caudill and Alga Ivy.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Johnson Whitaker; his sons, Wendell Whitaker of Hallie, KY and Christopher Whitaker of Neon, KY; his stepdaughter Jamie Sartin (Giles) of Wise, VA; his daughter-in-law Tyesh Johnson; his nephew Doyle Whitaker; his grandchildren, Blake, Clayton, Kadence, Burly, Harley, Ace, Ryan, Kendell, Grayson and Maverick; and his siblings, Boyd Whitaker (Deb) of Knott County, Chloteen Vaughn, Bonnie Thompson (Scott) of Murfreesboro, TN, Nella Young (Corbin) of North Carolina, Betty Caudill (Todd) of Bulan and Ella.
