He was predeceased by: his parents, Morton Collins and Bessie Elam Collins; his father-in-law Cecil Hunt; and his siblings, Willodean Perry, Blanche Black, Elizabeth Engdahl and Kelly Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hunt Collins; his sisters, Amy Jo Morrison of Ashland, KY and Judy Davis of Midway, GA; his mother-in-law Rosetta Hunt; his siblings-in-law, Tommy, Debbie Hunt, Ralph, Janey Law, Terry and Melody Lykins; and his son Jeremy Charles Clinger. He is also survived by nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
