It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harmon Canterbury Jr. (Warfield, Kentucky), born in Lenore, West Virginia, who passed away on November 11, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmon Sr. Canterbury and Mary Magalene Hitchcock Canterbury; his daughter Lisa Gayle Salmons; and his siblings, Rhoda Marcum, Jess Canterbury and Francis Maynard.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Copley Canterbury; his children, William Smith (Jessica) of Paintsville, KY, Harmon Gregory Canterbury of Georgia, Kenneth Shane Canterbury of Gilbert, WV and Teresa Walls (Robert) of Georgia; his brother Silas Edward Canterbury of Ohio; his pets, Brooke and Trouble; and also, Mose Newsome (Judy) of Lovely, KY, Gary Copley of Ft. Gay, WV, Ronald Copley of Crum, WV and Jerry Fleming (Nykoa) of Lenore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In response to the COVID-19 virus, all attendees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the laurel creek freewill Baptist church.
