She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Reuben and Alice Christine Young Carter; her siblings, John Carter, William Carter, Charles Anna Browning, Margaret Jackson, Claude Carter and James Carter; and her daughters-in-law, Bettie J. Webb Beatty and Cathy Beatty.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Ann Mays (Steven), Ernest H. Beatty, Jr., Patricia Beatty Embry (Clarence), Vickie Greene (Lonnie), Emmalene Tatum, Calvin W. Beatty, Sr., LaRon Garr (Floyd), Carl Beatty (Dorcas) and Michelle Beatty; and her sister-in-law Sadie Carter. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
