He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Lee Sipes and Naomi Ruth Box Sipes. He is survived by: his wife Roseanna Vest Sipes; his daughter Stephany Sipes; his sister Denelia Sipes Phipps (Mark); his sisters-in-law, Linda Wirth, Helen Coffey and Betty Vest; and his close friend Rick Miller.
