She was predeceased by: her father Charles E. Brown,; her children, Cordia Parker and Joseph Parker, Jr. (Katherine); her grandsons, Baron Berry and Joseph Parker; and her siblings, Mary Toller, Charles E. Brown, Jr. and Tommie Cole.
She is survived by: her children, Leonard Underwood, Barry Parker, Brenda Parker, Suzette Lagree, Rodney (Alexandria), Helen Murphy, Rebecca Hutchinson (George), Denise Johnson (Kenneth) and Fadqa Shakir; and her siblings, Myrtle Granville, Charlene Henderson (James) and Willie Brown (Dorice). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
