He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Herrington (Steve) of North Middletown and Linda Osborne (Calvin) of Sharpsburg; his grandchildren, Hiland Gene II (Mary), Jeffrey (Sherry), Levi (Andrea), Joanna, Melissa (Willie), Bobby (Samantha) and Dakota (Brittany); his great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Keelee, Kinsley, Haylei, Waylon, Walker, Luke, Caroline, Amelia, Holden, Haley, Jaylyn, Addy, Bayleah, Everleigh, Autumn, Layla, Kaitlynn, Kylie, Grayson and Aubree; his close friends, Oneil Stamper and Heath Adams; and his pet Ruby. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
