He was predeceased by: his parents, Hassell Lyon and Bertha Caudill Lyon; his wife Sylvia Ward Lyon; his sons, Stewart Lyon and Stacy Lyon; and his sisters, Rebecca Clubb, Betty Lou Reed, Melissa Francis, Mae Helton and Junious Lyon.
He is survived by: his children, Sam Lyon (Jeanette) of Salyersville, Scott Lyon of Salyersville, Sherry Blair of Salyersville, Shelly Jenkins of Salyersville, Shelia Denniston (Mike) of Wellington and Melissa Patrick; and his brothers, Southwell Dick Lyon of Louisa and William Lyon of West Liberty. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and three great-great- grandchildren.
