He was predeceased by: his father John Morgan; his daughter Jeanna Suzanne Owens; his grandparents, Jasper, Lena Stone Owens, William and Aggie Jordan Poe; and his siblings, Florence Watts of Tinsley, Daniel Owens, Barry E. Owens, Lawrence Owens, Gleason Owens, Jane Owens, Herschel Owens, Ruby Owens, Lena Owens and Bureta Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Rotha Jean Rigsby Owens; his sons, Neal Owens (Tom) of Pikeville, Kevin Owens (Melinda) of Salyersville and Robert Morgan "Robbie" Owens (Farrah) of Salyersville; and his sisters, Vonda Noble (Clay) of North Judson and LaGonda Tackett (Mason) of Davenport. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
