She was predeceased by: her husband J. C. Bolen; and her siblings, Shelby Howard, Henry Howard, Farish Howard, Lester Howard, Cloyette Jenkins, Alka "Flotella" Tackett and Gustie Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Bolen (Denenne), Gary Bolen, Janet Simpkins (Tommy) of Salyersville and Bernice Porter of Salyersville; and her brothers, Luster Howard, Charlie Howard, Hearl Howard and Kelton Howard. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight grandchildren, four great step-grandchildren, with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
