He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, John Gillenwater (Amanda) of Ironton, Jim Gillenwater (Missy) of Symmes Valley, Robert Jr., Angie Murphy of Ironton and Robin Waller of Pedro, Ohio; his grandchildren, Steve Murphy (Marsha), Nichole Bryant (Jacob), Megan Curnutte, Marissa Barnett (Jeff), Isis Thompson, Ramsey Malone and Landon Jones; and his siblings, James Thompson (Donna) of Anthem, Bill Thompson (Dee) of Grove City, Donald Thompson (Cappie) of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Katherine Bush (Joe) of Ashland and Katrina Hamilton (Paul) of Russell. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
