It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Serey Hampton of Russell, Kentucky, born in Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on April 11, 2022, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father George Emmett. She is survived by: her children, Brandon Lewis Hampton of Russell and Brittany Pearl Hampton (Raymond Earl Duckett, Jr.) of Russell; her siblings, George Serey, Jr. (Ginger) of Myrtle Beach, SC., Cathy Gottbrath (Paul) of Cold Spring, KY., Libby Boyd (Charlie) of Flatwoods, KY., Benny Serey (Cindy) of Laporte, TX., Kelly Serey of Ashland, KY., Terry Slusher (Kevin) of Myrtle Beach, SC., Caroline Conley (Terry) of Catlettsburg, KY. and Frances Groves (Mark) of Russell, KY.; her grandchildren, Brayden, Bentley, Phoebe, Caden, Raymond, Zhiya, Bryson, Brody and Bryler; and her former husband Richard Lee Hampton. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in Mary's memory be made to Caniff Funeral Home, 528 Wheatley Road, Ashland, KY 41101 to help ease the financial burden on the family.
