He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Crockett and Lucy Bell Crockett; his siblings, Thomas Crockett, Herbert Crockett, Hobert Crockett and Pearlie McQueary; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Polston and Denver "Jack" McQueary.

He is survived by: his daughter Valera Lynn Badgley (Gary) of Russell County; his stepsons, Gregory Weaver of Russell County and Harold Burton (Vern) of Cloverdale, Indiana; his sister Orpha Polston of Russell County; and his niece Christy Robertson (Darris) of Russell County. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
