We are sad to announce that on June 30, 2021, at the age of 80, John Emerson of Russell Springs, Kentucky, born in Urbana, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Emerson to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Emerson and Lula Aaron Emerson; and his brother James Avery Emerson. He is survived by: his daughters, Joni Diehl (Peter) of Bozeman and Jill Flynn (Mike) of Nancy; his grandchildren, James Marshall Maguire of Nancy, Jillian Ava Maguire of Nancy and Mallory Diehl of Bozeman, Montana; his close friend Barbara Hammond Emerson of Somerset; his siblings, Tom Sanders of Helena, Montana and Charlotte Smith (Ben) of Indianapolis; and his sister-in-law Katie Emerson of Nancy. He is also survived by many friends and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Russell County Senior Center, 132 Brian Walters Drive, Russell Springs, KY 42642.
