He was predeceased by: his father William Lindsey Merrick; and his wife Jean Doom Merrick. He is survived by: his children, Michele Pogrotsky (Ricky) of Frankfort and Monica Oliver (Donnie) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Jake Pogrotsky (Jenny), Jessica Pogrotsky Walker (Chad), Laura Don Oliver Wells (Chris) and Will Oliver (Paula); and his great grandchildren, Colt Pogrotsky, Cash Pogrotsky, Chance Pogrotsky, Crew Pogrotsky, Oliver Wells, Benjamin Wells and Caroline Grace Wells. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
