He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Johnson and Lurlean Guthrie Johnson; and his sisters, Margaret Johnson and Jenny Kirk. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Forsythe Johnson; his daughters, Holly Whitfield (Johnnie, Jr.) of Murfreesboro, TN and Allison Smith (Marty) of Hickory; his brothers, Dennis Johnson (Velda) of Princeton and Charlie Johnson (Pat) of St. Petersburg, FL; his grandchildren, MaeKayla Lewis (David), Johnnie Whitfield, III, Lucas Smith and Reese Smith; and his great grandchildren, Eiley Lewis, Kaydence Clark and Katherine King. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
