She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse James and Beulah Agnes Shelton Bland; her husband Elliott Franklin Mitchell, Sr.; her children, Carl Wade Mitchell, Claude Mitchell, Jesse Mitchell and Freda Mitchell; her grandson Glenn McGregor; and her siblings, Franklin, Chester, B. J. Bland and Ealer Calhoun.

She is survived by: her son Elliott Franklin Mitchell "Frankie" (Debra) of Henderson; her grandsons, Darren McGregor, Jonathan Mitchell and Jared Mitchell; and her sister Opal Jones of Glen Carbon, IL.. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
