He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Ousley and Bertha Ousley of Prestonsburg; his wife Margaret Sue Ousley (Shell); his son Eddy Gene Ousley; his sister Lula Bell; his siblings-in-law, Cliff Morris and Barbara Ousley (Arnet) of Noblesville Indiana; his sons, Robert (Linda Ousley) of Noblesville Indiana, William (Sheri Ousley) of Lexington Tennessee and James (DeAnn Ousley) of Noblesville Indiana; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Black, Shaun Ousley, Michael Ousley, Hannah Ousley, Gracie Bonebright, Bonnie Landman, Jessica Hartle, Joseph Ousley, Bethany Ousley, Eric Ousley, Jennifer Clayton, Justin Ousley and Brandon Ousley. He was also cherished by 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

He requested that in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Spurlock Bible church in his honor.
