He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Holbrook and Roberta "Bertie" Hughes Holbrook; his former wife Betty Holbrook; and his sisters, Bessie Marie Melnick, Patsy Marie Holbrook, Shirlene Amburgey and Eileen Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Holbrook; his children, Thomas Ray Holbrook (Margaret) of Allen, Regina Hurd of Pikeville and Sandy Dawn Newsome of Fort Gay, WV; and his grandchildren, Brittany Crystal Dawn Hurd, Jason Dwayne Hurd, Martin Christopher Thomas Holbrook, Jeanette Mullins, Kevin Justice, Millie Varnadore, Stephanie Owens and Kasandra Dawn Thompson.
