He was predeceased by: his father Frank Maynard; his wife Daleen Maynard; and his siblings, Garland Ray Maynard, James Darrell Maynard, Arthur Maynard, Louise Moore and Linda Evans.

He is survived by: his children, Roger Lee "Kathy" Maynard of Debord, KY and Sabrina Maynard Sluss (Buck) of Pilgirm, KY; his siblings, Dallas Maynard of Pilgrim, KY and Judy Jude of Inez, KY.; and his grandchildren, Kayti Maynard, Roger Lee Maynard, III, Cara Sluss, Casey Sluss and Connor Sluss.
