He is survived by: his wife Darlene Yates of Somerset, KY; his children, Shane Yates of Pilgrim, KY, Teresa Woods of Kingsport, TN, Tasha Kendrick of Ashland, KY and Darla Yates of Pikeville, KY; his siblings, Charles Kendrick, Robert Kendrick, Sara Moore and Joyce Parks; and his grandchildren, Christopher Cates, Alexis Yates, Dylan Yates, Jayden Yates, Maci Yates, Della Hayden, Kendra Cleaver, Jada Cleaver and Yasmin Woods.
