The memory of Raleigh Franklin Wright of Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Edward Wright and Molly Ratliff Wright; his wife Linda Sue Elkins Wright; and his siblings, James Wright, Don Wright, Ernest Wright, Thomas Wright, Lou Anna Wright and Ernestine Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Judge Robert Wright (Stacie) of Pikeville, Dr. Terry Wright (Cindy) of Lexington and Kimberly Wright (Brent Blackburn) of Pikeville; his sister Dolly Ratliff of Indianapolis, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Molly Wright, Sam Wright, Rachel Wright, Ashley May (Jordan), Bennett Quarles and Dillon Quarles; and his great grandchild Lincoln May.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Son Funeral Home (703 Hambley Blvd, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Raleigh's memory to the Dream Center, 453 Hambley Blvd., Pikeville, Ky. 41501 or the Immanuel Baptist Church, 5469 North Mayo Trail, Pikeville, Ky. 41501.
