It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Bentley of Phelps, Kentucky, born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on July 11, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Thompson and Byrd Thompson (Wallace); her husband Marvin "Rube" Bentley Sr.; her son Jimmy R. Bentley Sr.; and her siblings, Betty Cordell, Ann Wears, Andrew A. Thompson, Lester Thompson, Vernal Thompson and Kenneth Thompson.
She is survived by: her son Marvin Bentley Jr.; her grandchildren, Alice Lowe (Danny), Jimmy Bentley Jr., Dorse Bentley, Shawn Wears (Dusti), David Bentley (Anne) and Kaelynne Renae Morgan (Nate); her great grandchildren, P. D. Stevens Jr. (Sandi), Phillip Stevens, Patrick Stevens, Takira Stevens, Jayden Bentley, John Socorin, Dianna Bentley, Gaven Grigsby, Larren Grigsby, Abby Draise and Ariel Draise; and her niece Patty DeLong of Circleville, OH. She is also survived by family members, neighbors and friends.
