He is survived by: his wife Sharon Yates; his sons, Manuel Yates (Sara) of Crofton, KY and James Yates (Barbie) of Crofton, KY; and his siblings, Tommy Yates of Pembroke, KY, Leslie Yates of Pembroke, KY, Margaret McGhee of Pembroke, KY, Gloria Rodgers of Whitesberg, KY, Greta Campbell of Pensacola, FL and Valerie Welch of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
