He was predeceased by: his parents, John Melvin and Mary Jean Knisley Downey. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Cummings Downey of Pembroke, KY; his children, Clifford Downey (Jolinne) of Millington, TN, Laura Hendrick (Daniel) of Monmouth, OR, Diane Sweeney (Jerry) of Clifty, KY and Julie Burnham (Jeff) of Pembroke, KY; and his brother Gary Downey (Connie) of Wilmington, OH. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
