With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Johnston (Pembroke, Kentucky), who passed away on January 22, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Townsend and James Clark Sanford Jr.. She is survived by: her husband George M. Johnston; her grandson Benjamin Johnston; her siblings, James Clark Sanford III, Linda Sanford Ezell, Joyce Sanford, Jane Sanford and Dorothy Sanford Baldwin; her son Charles W. Johnston III (Mark A. Hicks); her sisters, Joy Sanford Taylor of Columbus, GA, Claudette Sanford Noel (Peter) of Cadiz, KY, Jean Sanford, Alma Sanford of Nashville, TN and Elizabeth "Beth" Townsend of Columbus, GA.; and also, Helen and Charles Johnston.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her honor to Pennyroyal Hospice at 220 Burley Avenue, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
