He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Higdon and Waltrude Coomes Higdon; and his siblings, John Higdon, Maxine Baldwin, Lena Clemens and Joetta Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Cecil Higdon; his children, Greg Higdon (Vicki) of Owensboro, Alan Higdon (Carolyn) of Owensboro, Patty Johnson (Terry) of Owensboro, Perry Higdon (Loretta) of Owensboro, Billy Higdon (Penny) of Owensboro and Rick Higdon (Kim) of Roswell, GA.; and his siblings, Sylvester Higdon, Ruth Johnson, Jane Simpson, Barbara Obeimeire and Laura Snyder. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carmel Home (2501 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A Mass will be held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at the Resurrection Cemetery (5404 KY-54, Owensboro, KY 42303).
The family asked that memorial contributions be made to the Carmel Home, 2501 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303.
