He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee O. Bawcum and Nettie Rolland Bawcum; and his siblings, Autry Bawcum, Roxie Gravitt and Christeen Kline.

He is survived by: his son David Bawcum of Olive Hill; his brother Ray Bawcum (Blondale) of Camden, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Spring Steele (Garry) and David J. Bawcum; and his great grandchildren, Tayla, Mariah, Garry and Coleton. He is also survived by eleven great-great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
