He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur Knipp and Ruby Davis Knipp; and his brothers, Frank Knipp and Ernest Knipp. He is survived by: his sister Earlene Flannery; his wife Loberta Bair Knipp; his children, Daniel David Knipp, Jr., Matthew Virgil Knipp (Robbin) and Jennifer Beth Conn (Daniel) of Olive Hill; his siblings, Larry Knipp (Kathy) of Morehead, Sharon Patton (Mitchell) of Morehead and Patty Foschi of Joliet, Illinois.; and his grandsons, Michael Ryan Knipp and Mark Andrew Hamm.
