He was predeceased by: his wife Ettie; his parents, Luther Scott and Connie Scott of Anneta, KY; and his daughter-in-law Angie Scott of Prospect. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kara Scott Saunders (Todd) of Frisco, TX, Kassie Scott Sanders (Will) of Mt. Washington, Neal Wilding (Shane) of Crestwood, Melissa Wilding Fitzpatrick (Liam) of Venice, FL, Roy Roemer, III (Liz) of LaGrange, Scott Roemer of Port Richey, FL, Christopher Haynes of Bardstown and Chad Haynes of Louisville; his great grandchildren, Hailey, Payton, Braden Whitehouse, Emerson Sanders, Emma, Isabel, Lance Wilding, Riley, Declan Fitzpatrick, Scarlett, Cylas Roemer, Jaxon Gray, Allen Roemer, Nicholas and Megan Haynes; and his sister Carolyn Howard of Louisville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
