He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest T. Scherer and Mildred Scherer; his brother Bob Scherer; and his grandmother Lillian Scherer. He is survived by: his wife Pat Scherer; his children, Denise Roby (Skee) and Tim Scherer (Kelli); and his siblings, Mark Scherer (Karen) and Pat Vanover. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
