It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Mae Blackburn (Mount Sterling, Kentucky), who passed away on March 9, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lucian Blackburn; her son-in-law Gary Amburgey; and her friend Mabel Townsend. She is survived by: her daughters, Libby Amburgey of Mt. Sterling and Terry Shoemaker (Doug) of Mt. Sterling; her grandchildren, Justin Shoemaker (Tamara), Jessica Pena (Scott), Bethany Shoemaker, Kimberly Shoemaker (Drew Hall), Kristina Rhodes (Joseph) and Michael Amburgey (Jennifer); and her siblings, Bob Ratliff (Zettie) of Pikeville and Sue Runyon (Loree Detweiler) of Pikeville. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
