He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Shumaker; his siblings, Dale Shumaker of Shepardsville, KY, Ernest Shumaker of Fruitdale, OH and Robert Shumaker of Leesburg, OH; his stepson James Sorrell of Aiken, SC; and his daughter-in-law Catherine Shumaker of Morning.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Shumaker; his children, Christopher Shumaker of Morning View, KY and Lisa Shumaker (Steve Turner) of Williamstown, KY; and his stepchildren, Paul Sorrell (Tanya) of Morning View, KY, Mark Sorrell (Tresa) of Xenia, OH, Peggy Knochelman (Alan) of Morning View, KY and Eleanor Dowler (Ron) of Washington Courthouse, OH. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends.
Due to the current Covid-19 state restrictions, the wearing of face masks is mandatory, temperatures will be taken before entrance into the funeral home and attendance will be limited to 50% of the funeral home's capacity, while still maintaining 6 feet of social distancing.
