He was predeceased by: his parents, Vercil "Did" Sloan and Lornelle Brown Sloan; his grandson Wyatt J. Slone; and his siblings, Ricky Lee Slone, Brenda Jean Hunt and Colleen Sloan Kidd.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kaye Alexander Slone; his son J. C. Slone (Ashley Dawn) of Morehead; his grandchildren, Alissa, Lakota, Gage and Axel Slone; and his siblings, Donnie Dale Sloan of Kettering, Mickie Edward Sloan (Carol) of Morehead, Michael Dean Sloan of Morehead, Vicky Ann Kidd (Alvin) of Morehead, Sharon Kay Trent (Gary) of Morehead and Teresa Lynn Williams (Forrest) of Morehead. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
