He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Black and Josephine Cassity Black; and his son Timothy Lee Black. He is survived by: his wife Emma Myrtilla Edgerton Black; his sons, John (Becky Black), Dan (Gwen Black) and Greg (Freida Black); his daughter-in-law Dorothy Flannery Black of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Sarah Black, Jared Black, Kamryn Black, Jonathan Black and Samuel Black. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
