He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Scott and Lizzie Alice Ingle Scott; his son John David Scott; and his siblings, Alan Wayne Scott, Dorothy McClurg, Pat Amburgey and Betty Riddle.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Ann Furnish Scott; his children, Richie (Marjie Scott) and Kim (Roger Fannin); his sister Lydia Montgomery; his uncle Carl Ingle of Morehead; and his grandchildren, Brett, Adam, Tyler, Sasha, Trace, Kaitlynn, Brianna, Colin and Tabby. He is also survived by great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
