She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Herron and Helen Simpson Herron; her husband Arlie Sherman May; her son James Allen May; and her brother Wayne Herron.
She is survived by: her son Gardner May (Katie) of Morehead; her daughter-in-law Helen May Puckett of Carter County, Kentucky; her sister Alma Davis (Denzil) of Muncie, Indiana; her grandchildren, James May II, Arlenda May, Amy May, Terry Adams, Jr., William Adams, Robert Adams and Robin Caldwell; and her close friends, Helen Griggs of Morehead, Beverly Powell of Morehead, Viola Goodman of Morehead, Valarie Pennington of Menifee County, Patsy Copher of Hardinsburg and Maxine Douglas of Carter County. She is also survived by 29 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and other extended family.
She was a certified volunteer for the American Cancer Society program Look Good Feel Better.
