He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Howard and Mary Ava Conley Howard; and his siblings, Violet Daroci, Carolyn Sue Blaire, Lillian, Margaret, Sharon Howard, Emil, Marvin, Clifton Howard and Lee Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley K. Stafford Howard; his children, Valentina Lester of Taylor, Michigan and David Butler of Morehead; his stepdaughter Patricia Kelly of Grayson; and his siblings, Vivian Ross of Michigan, Florene Whitt of Morehead, Carl of Morehead and Melvin Howard of Morehead. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
