He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clayburn Shelton and Bertha Levatia Smith Shelton; and his son James Gregory Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hampton Shelton; his children, Diana Garcias (Bob) of Prescot Valley, AZ, William "Peanuts" Shelton (Sue Ann) of Winchester, OH, Debbie Smith (Tom) of Maysville, KY and Darcy Hamm (Mike) of Sardinia, OH; his siblings-in-law, David Hampton (Dessie), Dennis Hampton and Kathy Roberts (Rob); and his cousin Darrell Kinder. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
